Staffing with Purpose: Montessori Hiring Beyond the Resume

Thursday, October 22, 2026 · 9:30am to 2:30pm Central Time

Registration closes Saturday, October 17, 2026

A vacancy opens and recruitment starts from scratch: a rushed job posting, a handful of resumes, and a decision shaped by who is available. The next vacancy brings the same scramble. These five hours are for building the system before you need it. You write a hiring narrative that explains why someone would choose your school, shape job descriptions around your values, and build a recruitment calendar for the whole year. You leave with those three pieces written, so the next resignation does not also become the starting point for your recruitment work.

Onboarding by Design: A Values-Aligned Staff Onboarding System

Thursday, November 5, 2026 · Tuesday, November 10, 2026 · Thursday, November 12, 2026 · 5–7 p.m. Central Time

Registration closes Saturday, October 31, 2026

A new staff member gets the handbook and a warm welcome, then spends weeks figuring out whom to ask, what is expected, and whether they are on track. In three two-hour sessions, you build the support that should follow the welcome. The first session defines the purpose and philosophy of onboarding. The second develops the structures and templates. The third addresses implementation and equity checks. You leave with a 30-, 60-, and 90-day roadmap, role and expectation templates, and a communication schedule that makes support part of the plan.

Building Organizational Trust

Tuesday, January 19, 2027 · 9:30am to 12:30pm Central Time

Registration closes Saturday, January 16, 2027

A decision is announced, and staff hear something different from what leadership intended. Questions stay in private conversations, and the next announcement meets more skepticism. In three hours, you examine where trust is breaking down in your school’s adult community and how your communication practices contribute. You apply a trust diagnostic, develop a framework for deciding what to communicate and how, and design three communication structures for your school. You leave with those tools written down, giving you a practical basis for changing the habits that shape staff confidence.

The Aligned Leader: Workflows, Boundaries & Emotional Clarity

Thursday, February 11, 2027 · 9:30am to 2:30pm Central Time

Registration closes Saturday, February 6, 2027

Your day fills with other people’s questions. Decisions wait for you, messages follow you home, and work that could be shared stays on your desk. In five hours, you build a written system for managing those demands. Through guided reflection and scenario-based practice, you design workflows, communication boundaries, and decision-making habits for your current role. You also set out how responsibility could be distributed more equitably. You finish with a personal leadership operating system, a communication boundary design, and a written plan for sharing the work.

Dual-Role Leadership: Balancing Coaching & Evaluation

Thursday, February 18, 2027 · Tuesday, February 23, 2027 · Thursday, February 25, 2027 · 5–7 p.m. Central Time

Registration closes Saturday, February 13, 2027

A teacher asks for help, then hesitates because the person coaching them also writes their evaluation. Both people need to know which conversation they are having and how the information will be used. In three two-hour sessions, you put those distinctions in writing. The first separates coaching from evaluative supervision. The second establishes documentation and boundaries for each role. The third brings the pieces into a model for your school. You leave with a role framework, a documentation system, and a written plan for carrying both responsibilities clearly.

People Policies by Design

Tuesday, March 30, 2027 · 9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Central Time

Registration closes Saturday, March 27, 2027

Two staff members ask the same question about a school policy and get different answers. The handbook offers little help, and each exception becomes another judgment call. In three hours, you examine where your staff policies leave room for confusion and draft a revision to at least one of them. You use a policy alignment diagnostic to compare what the school says it values with what its policies ask people to do. You leave with that diagnostic, a framework for writing clearer policies, and a draft revision you can continue working from.

Intensive, $350

Equity Audits & Adult Culture Design

Thursday, April 15, 2027 · 9:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Central Time

Registration closes Saturday, April 10, 2027

Someone raises a concern about fairness. You address it, but still do not know whether others are having the same experience. These five hours are for building a way to find out and decide what needs to change. You adapt an equity audit framework to your school’s adult community, prepare data-gathering tools, and work through how to interpret the evidence they bring back. You connect that evidence to root causes and priorities for adult culture. You finish with your adapted framework, your tools, and a prioritized action plan.

Cohort, $450

The MMG Appraisal Cycle: A Growth-Based Evaluation System

Thursday, May 6, 2027 · Tuesday, May 11, 2027 · Thursday, May 13, 2027 · 5–7 p.m. Central Time

Registration closes Saturday, May 1, 2027

Evaluation season arrives, but staff are unsure what counts, how feedback is gathered, or what happens after the meeting. In three two-hour sessions, you prepare the MMG appraisal system for your school, including self-assessments, supervisor evaluations, goal-setting, and upward feedback. The first session establishes purpose. The second sets the schedule and documentation. The third addresses bias and implementation. You leave with the appraisal templates, a documented evaluation schedule, and protocols for checking bias at each stage, so the process is written down before the next evaluation cycle begins.

Summer 2027

June to August 2027

Community Architecture: Partnership, Belonging & Collective Care

Tuesday, July 13, 2027 · 9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Central Time

Registration closes Saturday, July 10, 2027

The same families attend every event, while others rarely find a way in. Staff want a stronger community, but invitations and good intentions have not made participation easier. In three hours, you map how people currently connect with your school and identify gaps in how they are welcomed, heard, and included. You design a communication schedule for staff and families and write out practices for building belonging into the school year. You leave with a community map, a communication plan, and a set of practices ready for the start of school.

Intensive, $350

School Identity & Storytelling Systems

Thursday, August 5, 2027 · 9:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Central Time

Registration closes Saturday, July 31, 2027

The weekly update sounds like one school, the admissions message like another. When a difficult announcement is needed, there is no shared starting point. In five hours, you give those messages a common foundation. You define a school voice rooted in your mission, develop templates for weekly, internal, external, and crisis communications, and prepare a crisis communication protocol. The work turns school identity into documents people can use when they need to write. You leave with those documents written, so the next message has a clear starting point.

Strategic Planning the Montessori Way: Aim, Scheme & Implementation

Thursday, August 12, 2027 · Tuesday, August 17, 2027 · Thursday, August 19, 2027 · 5–7 p.m. Central Time

Registration closes Saturday, August 7, 2027

The strategic plan names the priorities, but the next steps still depend on whoever has time. In three two-hour sessions, you use the Montessori Makers Organizational Mapping framework to connect your school’s direction to the people and systems responsible for carrying it out. The first session establishes the aim and vision. The second develops the plan and stakeholder involvement. The third sets implementation and accountability. You leave with a three- to five-year roadmap draft, a stakeholder engagement plan, and an accountability system that names owners and schedules check-ins.

Interview Design for Equitable & Insightful Alignment

Tuesday, September 21, 2027 · 9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Central Time

Registration closes Saturday, September 18, 2027

A candidate gives a polished interview, but afterward your team cannot explain what the answers showed about their judgment or Montessori practice. Different interviewers noticed different things, and there is no shared way to compare them. In three hours, you build an interview structure, a question bank, and an evaluation rubric around what matters in your school. You make room for candidates to explain their reasoning and build bias checks into the process. You leave with three written tools for asking more useful questions and evaluating the evidence in the answers.
